Dr. Baila received his M.D. from Iuliu Hatieganu University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania and Tor Vergata University in Rome, Italy. He completed an anatomic and clinical pathology residency at the University of Illinois and was the Chief Resident at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. He completed his surgical pathology fellowship from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, where he served as an Assistant Professor for almost three years. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and his areas of expertise are: gastrointestinal pathology and pulmonary pathology. He joined PTPG in December 2006. Dr. Baila is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.
