Anatomic and Clinical Pathologists
Peoria Tazewell Pathology Group (PTPG), an independent private practice group is currently recruiting Anatomic and Clinical Pathologists (AP/CP) or Anatomic Pathologists (AP only) to join our collegial group of 15 Pathologists, 4 Pathologist Assistants, and 2 clinical PhDs. Our practice serves multiple hospitals in Central Illinois and Southeastern Iowa. Recruitment efforts are in response to upcoming retirements and recent business expansion. Subspecialty training is desired, but not required for any of the posted positions.
Key Requirements and Responsibilities:
- MD/DO with AP/CP or AP only board certification or eligibility, and valid medical license in Illinois and Iowa
- Subspecialty training is desired, but not required
- Proficiency in routine surgical pathology, frozen sections, on-site evaluation of biopsies/FNAs, gyn and non-gyn cytopathology, other clinical laboratory duties as required
- Grossing is performed by PAs
- Participation in tumor board cases
- Call is light and evenly distributed among the group
- Good communication skills, commitment to teamwork, and an interest in pursuing leadership positions
