Dr. Oakley received a B.S. with honors in biochemistry from Iowa State University in 2002 and combined M.D./Ph.D. degrees from the University of Iowa in 2011. His residency in anatomic and clinical pathology was at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (2011-2015), where he served as chief resident during his final year of training. He subsequently underwent a general surgical pathology fellowship with an emphasis on the gastrointestinal system (2015-2016) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, followed by a molecular genetic pathology (2016-2017) fellowship at the University of Washington. Dr. Oakley joined PTPG in August 2017.
